Al Maktoum Foundation Boosts Tolerance by E-Gallery

The Al Maktoum Foundation launched its first Photo E-Gallery in the UAE
at Zayed University campus in Dubai, under the patronage and in the
presence of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, on the occasion of "Year of Tolerance". Aiming at boosting
tolerance among nations, the e-gallery was opened the day before yesterday
and will finish its activities today.
The e-gallery contains the best electronic showcasing platforms to highlight
the achievements of the Al Maktoum Foundation, locally and
internationally, especially in Africa and Europe, including 50 secondary
schools in 23 African countries, besides the Al Maktoum College for
Engineering Studies in Tanzania, which were established, managed and
funded by the Foundation, in addition to the Islamic cultural centers and the
Al Maktoum College for Arabic and Islamic Studies in Europe.
Moreover, the gallery showcased the aids offered locally by Al Maktoum
centers in Dubai and Sheikha Maitha bint Rashid Al Maktoum Centre for
People of Determination in Hatta.

Mohammed Obaid bin Ghannam, Secretary-General of the Al Maktoum
Foundation, stressed that the UAE plays a pivotal role in the humanitarian
and charitable aids worldwide, which reflects the Foundation's vision and
strategy, explaining that organizing this e-gallery enhances the UAE
humanitarian and charitable role.

He confirmed that utilizing the cutting-edge technologies and developing
systems and networks of educational system in Africa and Europe are
important tools in the modern era to manage knowledge and establish solid
economies. In addition, education has become the primary source in defining
the features and standards of economic and commercial forces in the world.

To trigger the active involvement of Zayed University students in the e-
gallery, Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
patron of the event, called the students to conduct a research on the
Foundation's educational, charitable, and humanitarian achievements in the
UAE and abroad.
